HOLDS

For taken characters and PBs listed in text form, go to this entry.

To hold, simply comment below.

Holds last three days. You are responsible for keeping track of your hold. If it expires, you may request an extension of another three days once. After that you may not continue the hold, though you may submit an application at any time.

In the case of two applications for one character, the mod will make an executive decision and offer the player not chosen an extended SPECIAL HOLD on the character of their choice, assuming the application is up to standard.

Current players may request an extended SPECIAL HOLD that lasts seven days (but must do so in their comments!).

Applicants for BAUM'S OZ, CARROLL'S WONDERLAND & BARRIE'S NEVERLAND, please be prepared to be flexible, as your bookverses are featuring in the Game Plot.

NOTICE: You are responsible for keeping the time of your hold. Sorry, the Page is too big for me to maintain otherwise. If you want an extension or a special hold, you must request it. I will delete your hold when your time is up.

And on to the holds... )

WAR.

Wonderland has gone mad. True, Wonderland has always been mad, but something in Carroll's bookverse has gone seriously wrong, and what was bright and whimsical is now twisted and menacing. Every character in Wonderland has fallen under the thrall of the villainous Hatter and his cohort the bloodthirsty March Hare. Wonderland has declared war on the Canon Corps, an organization of diverse characters from all genres dedicated to fighting book-terrorists, plot-thieves, canon-breakers and other bookverse villains.

Baum's Oz bookverse was the first to fall. Oz is in ruins, decimated by tornadoes from Chapter One and breaking apart at the seams as the Card Army rounds up the population. A fortunate few have scattered, some lost, some fled, and all are pursued by Wonderland agents and assassins such as the Cheshire Cat as the Hatter coalesces his forces for his next campaign.

Book characters everywhere are waking up to the knowledge that there are other worlds, other books out there... and not all of them are friendly.

Canonish is an RPG based very loosely on ideas found in Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next Series. Familiarity with the series is not required, though you must have a thorough knowledge of your chosen book(verse) and character. The RPG accepts literary-based characters only. Its plot is mod-guided.
